Ali, our NZSI coach, boasts over 20 years of experience in training both athletes and the general population. His programme design expertise is cultivated from learning under the tutelage of industry luminary Charles Poliquin. Ali's training philosophy is underpinned by the principle "You can't fire a cannon from a canoe," which he imbibed from his mentor.
Ali's pursuit of knowledge has taken him across the globe, studying and training in Asia, Australasia, and North America. He has gleaned insights from renowned coaches such as Louie Simmons, Ian King, Ed Coan, Professor Stuart McGill, Paul Chek, Dr. Ken Kinakin, Dr. Michael Leahy, Stephane Cazeault, and Carlos Castro.
